LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomores
Terry Keegan (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Prep) and Kylle O'Sullivan (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) were each named Centennial Conference Player of the Week for their respective tennis teams according to a release by conference officials on Tuesday, March 9.
Keegan was named the men's award winner after posting a combined four victories on the first day of competition this spring. In singles action, he posted a pair of wins at the fourth flight, defeating opponents from Catholic University and the University of Charleston (W.Va.). In the latter match, he bounced back from a first-set loss to win 2-6, 7-5, 10-8. Keegan was also perfect in both doubles matches with fellow sophomore
Sebastian Rodriguez (Plano, Texas/Plano West) at No. 2.
O'Sullivan helped the women's team to a pair of wins over teams from Ohio to open the spring season. She earned wins in both of her singles matches at No. 3 against Mount Union College and Ohio Wesleyan University. In doubles play, O'Sullivan teamed with freshman
Meghan Fornshell (Westport, Conn./Academy of Our Lady of Mercy) for an 8-4 win against Mount Union at No. 2 and an 8-6 win against Ohio Wesleyan at No. 3.
The Bullets have two more days of competition left on their spring trip with both teams facing Trine University Wednesday, March 10, at 3 p.m.
