CAPE COD, Mass. –Junior
Megan Lott (Bellsville, Md./Pallotti) of the Gettysburg College softball team pocketed another postseason award this week as she was recently named to the ECAC Division III South All-Star Second Team.
An All-Centennial Conference First Team outfielder, Lott picked up her first accolade from the ECAC following a breakout season on the diamond. The junior led the conference in runs scored (39), hits (50), and total bases (81), while leading Gettysburg in batting average (.379), home runs (5), and slugging percentage (.614). She posted a team-leading 14 multi-hit games and had a 20-game hitting streak at one point in the season.
Lott was tabbed CC Player of the Week twice this spring, including following the final week of the regular season after she tied a school record with a pair of home runs against McDaniel College on April 24. She recorded a four-hit game against Haverford College on March 27 and she put up five hits, four runs, and three RBI in a non-conference doubleheader against Hood College on April 22.
Gettysburg posted a record of 21-16-1 overall this season and finished second in the Centennial Conference standings with an 11-5 mark.
