SWARTHMORE, Pa. and DELAWARE, Ohio – Senior Amanda Pellowe and junior Joe Sharp each broke into Gettysburg's all-time top-10 lists, leading the Bullet track & field teams at the Swarthmore College Tuppeny Twilight Last Chance Meet on Monday.

The meet featured an elite mix of Division I and III athletes as well as unattached competitors.

Pellowe began the day by placing second in her heat and 17th among 30 total competitors in the 800, clocking a personal-record (PR) of 2:18.70 – over six seconds faster than her previous best open 800. Her time made her the third-fastest in school history in the event, and it was the best time by a Bullet since school record-holder Angie Hill '04 ran a 2:13.66 at the 2003 NCAA Division III Championships. Then in the final race of her career, she came in 47th in the 1,500-meter run, finishing in 4:55.54.

Pellowe concludes her collegiate career ranked among the top-four in school history in two events, as her PR of 4:45.95 in the 1,500 ranks her fourth all-time at Gettysburg.

Also competing for the women's team were sophomore Alex Bull and junior Yaa Addison. Facing the challenge of running by herself in the longest track event, Bull turned in a gutsy performance in the 10,000-meter run. The lone female in a field of five that started, she was one of only two that finished the 25-lap race and was timed at 40:37.87.

Addison placed 25th in the 800, clocking a 2:23.90.

A pair of runners also turned in PRs for the men's team. Sharp turned in a career-best 1:55.07 in the 800, which places him 10th on Gettysburg's all-time list. He finished 29th out of 87 total runners. Sharp also placed 69th in an overall field of 81 in the 1,500 in 4:12.82.

Junior Brad Wiseman placed 45th in the 800 while running a PR of 1:57.50.

Also on Monday, senior Alexandra Van Tuyl completed the first four events of the heptathlon at the Ohio Wesleyan University Ron Althoff Invitational. Her first-day score was 2,493 points, placing her sixth out of 11 competitors.
