DELAWARE, Ohio – Senior
Alexandra Van Tuyl competed in the final collegiate track & field meet of her career on Monday and Tuesday at the Ohio Wesleyan University Ron Althoff Invitational.
Van Tuyl scored 3,966 points in the heptathlon to finish sixth among 11 competitors. She scored the most points (744) with her second-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, and she also logged 718 points with her third-place time of 26.93 in the 200-meter dash.
Though she did not improve on her school record of 4,080 points – which she set with her victory at the Centennial Conference Championships earlier this month – she set personal records in three events – the hurdles (15.76), the shot put (29- 1/2), and the 800-meter run (2:41.20).
