Men's Soccer Program History
Gettysburg's men's soccer team has set its sights on some important goals - being a contender each year for the Centennial Conference championship and re-establishing a presence in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
The former goal has been a realization year-in and year-out for the Bullets as the squad has finished outside the top four in the conference just once in 15 years and has claimed three championships, including the first title in 1993. Gettysburg made a run for another title in 2007 before falling in the CC Tournament Championship.
On the national scence, Gettysburg has been a steady contributor with six appearances in the NCAA Tournament from 1993 to 2001. The Orange & Blue maintain a consistent ranking in the Mid-Atlantic Region despite contending with some of the top teams in all of Division III. Gettysburg's schedule always includes a large grouping of national title contenders and NCAA playoff participants.
Win or lose, all home games are played in inspiring surroundings. The 2004 addition of Clark Field, with its Field Turf surface, stately brick columns and state-of-the-art lighting, gives the Bullets a spectacular venue for soccer.
