Women's Golf Program History
After finishing second in the Centennial Conference in four of its first five seasons, Gettysburg's youngest sport finally captured the prize in 2008 by winning its first Centennial Conference Championship (pictured). The Bullets overcame an eight-stroke deficit on the final day of competition to claim its first title in just its eighth year of competition. The team narrowly missed repeating its performance in 2009, settling for runner-up once again.
The last three seasons have shown dramatic results for the Gettysburg women's golf team with 10 total tournament victories, a record four in both 2007-08 and 2008-09. The Bullets have topped every previous scoring record in the last few years, including lowest score in a round (343, Dickinson Fall Invitational, 2008) and lowest scoring average for a season (2008-09, 367.6).
Individually, Gettysburg has claimed medalist honors at 10 events in the last three seasons, including top accolades at the Centennial Conference Championships twice.
The team practices and plays home matches on the rolling terrain of the four-star
Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa.
