A native of Berwick, Pa., he lettered three years each as an offensive and defensive end in football, forward and guard in basketball and pitcher and outfielder in baseball. The 619, 185- pounder captained the football team his senior year and made honorable mention All-East. One of his big games in football was against Mt. St. Mary19s when he blocked a punt in the end zone for a 2-0 Gettysburg victory.
He played in 42 basketball games, scoring 134 points. His favorite opponent seemed to be Dickinson, being the leading scorer three times. He was primarily a pitcher in baseball and compiled a 7-4 record. In his first game, as a sophomore, he fired a 4-2 win over Drexel.
He received a degree in business administration.
