As a member of the field hockey team, she was able to compete only three years because of a knee injury. In that short time she made the All-Susquehanna team two years in a row and advanced to the Mid-East team once. The highlight of her career came against Ursinus in 1959 when she helped Gettysburg score a 3-2 upset victory.

She was a member of the basketball team for four years and was the leading scorer in her last three years. She averaged 16 points a game as a sophomore, 21.7 as a junior and 15.7 as a senior. She scored a career high 28 points against Wilson. An old injury prevented her from completing her senior year.

She was a Dean's List student who received departmental honors upon graduation. She was the recipient of both the Clair B. Knorr and Clayton E. Bilheimer Awards and was president of the Women's Athletic Association.
