    Trainer, Staff
For almost 40 years, he was an inspiration to both students and coaches. It has been pointed out that there is a lot more to Lefty Biser than being a trainer.

The redhead southpaw came from Jefferson, MD and during his four years, served as a student trainer, under the capable supervision of his predecessor, Romeo Capozzi. He also pitched on the baseball team in the spring.

Following graduate studies at Syracuse University, Biser returned to his Alma Mater in May 1959 and developed into one of the most respected teachers of sports medicine as well as an athletic trainer. He was named the head trainer in 1971 and remained in that capacity until August 1987. During that time, his door was always open to athletes of other colleges and universities as well as to high school athletes. During the summers, he worked part-time with the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Colts and served as trainer for the Big 33 Pennsylvania High School Football All-Star Classic for 12 years. He was selected as a volunteer for the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. In 1993 he received the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society Award.
