Patricia W. Henry

  • Class
    1971
  • Induction
    1987
  • Sport(s)
    Women's Basketball, Field Hockey
She was not the type of flashy player who competed in field hockey and basketball and rang up all sorts of supporting statistics. She was a halfback in field hockey and was a key to the team's defensive success more than its offensive accomplishments. The same was true in basketball where she was an outside player and continued to hold that role through three years.

As a senior, she was named captain of the field hockey team and played both center halfback and right inner and she was named honorable mention All-Susquehanna.

She received triple honors as a senior when she was named recipient of the prestigious C.E. Bilheimer and Clair B. Noerr Awards, as well as being named the school's outstanding female athlete.

Following graduation, she pursued an athletic administrative career as associate director of athletics at Harvard and a member of two Olympic committees.
