GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College field hockey team has been ranked No. 17 in the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III poll, it was announced Tuesday.

The Bullets played one game this past week, dropping a 4-3 decision to then-No. 17 Johns Hopkins University 4-3 in the Centennial Conference semifinals on Saturday.

Gettysburg finishes with its highest national ranking to close the season since the 2005 squad finished at No. 16.

The Bullets closed the year with a 14-5 record, marking the team's highest victory total since 2005. Gettysburg also finished second in the Centennial Conference, going 8-2 in league play.
