LANCASTER, Pa. – Gettysburg College junior
Caitlin Moser (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season according to a release by the league office on Monday, Feb. 1.
Moser, who was named CC Player of the Week on Jan. 4, earned her third career weekly accolade from the conference after leading Gettysburg (16-2, 11-2 CC) to a pair of victories last week. On Jan. 27, she scored a team-high 17 points, including each of the game's final four, and blocked a potential game-tying lay-up with 39 seconds left to lift the Bullets to a 56-54 victory at Dickinson College. In the week's finale against Washington (Md.) College, Moser tied a season mark with 25 points and grabbed eight boards as Gettysburg won 77-68.
For the week, Moser averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 3.0 steals in addition to shooting 58.6 percent (17-fo-29) from the floor. She also moved up Gettysburg's all-time scoring list to seventh with 1,092 career points.
Moser and the Bullets kick off a busy week of action in the Centennial Conference with the first of three contests Monday night at Haverford College (5-11, 3-9 CC). Monday's game is slated for a 7 p.m. start inside Gooding Arena.
