CARLISLE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College indoor track and field squads turned in strong performances in the final meet before the conference championships as both the men's and women's teams finished second at the Dickinson College DuCharme Invitational on Saturday.
The Orange and Blue men tied Keystone College for second among 19 teams with 74 points, trailing only host Dickinson which put up 110 points. On the women's side, the Bullets sat alone in the runner-up position with 55.5 points, 60 shy of the Red Devils' winning performance.
Freshman
Ashanti Foster-Felder (Freeport, N.Y./Freeport) continued his impressive debut season by taking the top spots in both the 200 and 400 meter races. He took home the 200 title in 23.09, marking the fifth-fastest time in school history. Foster-Felder blazed down in the lane in the 400 as well, notching the fifth-fastest clip in program history and besting the field by over two seconds with a time of 50.90.
Senior
Nick Rosenberger (North Wales, Pa./St. Joseph's Prep School) grabbed the top spot in the 55-meter hurdles. After finishing second in the prelims by 0.11 to Hood College's Nicholas Aldana, Rosenberger edged the Blazer 8.223 to 8.227 in the championship heat. The senior also finished just behind Foster-Felder in the 200 meters, placing third in 24.11.

Brenden Repack (Merrimack, N.H./Merrimack), sophomore
Brad Wiseman (Newtown Square, Pa./Radnor), and freshman
Patrick Hill (Rumson, N.J./Rumson Fair Haven) finishing third (4:36.03), fifth (4:43.61), and eighth (4:47.03), respectively.
Freshman
Cole Rossiter (New Milford, Conn./New Milford) took home runner-up in the 5,000 with a mark of 16:46.22, while sophomores
Tom Senseney (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) and
Joe Sharp (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) each placed fifth in the 400 meters (53.87) and 800 meters (2:02.68), respectively.
Sophomore
Joy Hallfors (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) led the women's squad with a trio of top-four finishes. Hallfors finished runner-up in both the long jump (15-5.5) and high jump (4-10), while taking fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.30).
Freshman
Eva Hinkeldey (Maitland, Fla./Winter Park) matched the top height cleared in the pole vault at 9-6, but needed more tries to get there than the winner from Lebanon Valley College en route to a runner-up showing.
A pair of third-place finishes were turned in by both sophomores
Christine Esposito (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and
Emily Heeren (Newton, Mass./Newton) in the 3,000 (10:46.98) and the triple jump (32-7.5), respectively. Esposito was also the team's top runner in the 800 meters with a time of 2:31.90.
Gettysburg closes the indoor season with the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Haverford College next Saturday, Feb. 26.
