2012 Capital One Academic All-America Division III Soccer Teams

Andrew Bellis (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) was named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Men's Soccer Third Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Bellis is the first Gettysburg College men's soccer player to be named an Academic All-American by CoSIDA and he is the 27th selection overall for the Bullets athletics program.
Bellis was a key contributor for Gettysburg's defensive unit this fall. He appeared in 16 matches with five starts and helped the team post a 1.44 goals against average with five shutouts. The Bullets recorded shutouts in three of the junior's five starts in the backfield.
Over his first three seasons, Bellis has appeared in 40 matches and has helped Gettysburg accumulate 11 shutouts.
Academically, Bellis carries a 4.02 GPA as a double-major in philosophy and political science. He is a two-time member of the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and a four-time selection to Gettysburg's Dean's Honor List.
To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic or academic standings at his institution and be nominated by his sports information director.
