CC Championship Site
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College track & field teams will compete at the Centennial Conference (CC) Outdoor Championships from Friday through Sunday at Ursinus College, and several Bullets enter the meet ranked among the top competitors.
For the women's team, senior
Alexandra Van Tuyl will chase after her third straight CC heptathlon title, entering the meet as the No. 2 seed at 3,561 points. She will also compete in a handful of open events and is seeded third in the long jump (16-7 3/4), fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.09), seventh in the high jump (5- 1/2), and eighth in the triple jump (33-7 1/4).
Sophomore
Celia Hartz is seeded among the top-eight in two throwing events, entering the meet fourth in the discus (109-0) and sixth in the javelin (104-5). Freshman #Danielle Bernini# comes in ranked fourth in the high jump (5-1 3/4) while freshman
Madison Senseney is fifth in the heptathlon (2,910 points). Freshman
Taylor Flatau enters as the seventh seed in the triple jump (33-7 1/2), as does sophomore
Cari McMaster in the heptathlon (2,811 points). In addition, sophomore
Alex Bull is seeded eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:00.34).
For the men's team, juniors
Tom Senseney and
Andrew Bay are the men's team's top competitors, as each enters the meet as a No. 2 seed – Senseney in the decathlon (5,316 points) and Bay in the 100-meter dash (11.20).
Other Bullets ranked among the top-eight entering the meet are junior
Sean Thon in the 100-meter dash (third, 11.33), freshman
Edward Makinde in the triple jump (seventh, 42-9), junior
Will Demakis in the 400-meter hurdles (seventh, 58.90), and junior
Patrick Hill in the 800-meter run (seventh, 1:56.12).
