THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had five runners place in the top 25 overall and had five of the first 12 collegiate finishers to place third at its own Aubrey Shenk Invitational. The Bullets, who scored 95 points, were the top finishing collegiate team in the 21-team event.
THE LEADERS
•
Kathryn Hopkins (Taneytown, Md./Winters Mill) led the Bullets with a 13th-place finish. She posted a time of 22:06.9, which was the second-best time by a Division III runner in the field.
FOR THE FOES
• GRC-Tracksmith and NOVA Running Club finished first and second with 19 and 78 points, respectively.
• Tracksmith's Kelsey Swenson set a blistering pace, resetting the course record with a time of 20:41.3 and winning by nearly 38 seconds.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Carys Cook (Wimberley, Texas/Lauralton Hall) led a trio of Gettysburg runners across the line in 21st place with a time of 22:32.0.

Ava Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) and
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) followed her across in 22nd (22:35.1) and 23rd (22:37.8), respectively.
•
Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) placed 25th with a time of 22:43.3.
•
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) was 32nd (23:07.1) while
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was 56th (24:03.3).

Franny Proto (58th, 24:09.2),
Emily Trout (64th, 24:18.3),
Kyla Lorden (71st, 24:34),
Jessica Bourne (74th, 24:37.8),
Abbey Woodcome (75th, 24:38),
Julia Brock (80th, 24:50.5) and
Megan McArthur (107th, 25:34.6) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 212 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.

Kathryn Hopkins was the Bullets' second-best time ever on the home course.
•
Carys Cook's time ranks seventh for the Bullets while
Ava Crawford's time was eighth and
Rowe Crawford's time was ninth.
Gabrielle Thiry's time just missed the all-time top-10, ranking 11th.
