THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg was the top finishing among the six Centennial Conference teams in the White Race of the 50th Annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh. The Bullets were 15th in the field of 46 teams with 447 points.
THE LEADERS
•
Kathryn Hopkins (Taneytown, Md./Winters Mill) led the Bullets with a 18th-place showing, posting a time of 21:56.8 on the 6,000-meter course.
FOR THE FOES
• Amherst won the White Race with 135 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) crossed the line 39th with a time of 22:15.2 to have two Bullets place in the top 50 of the race.
•
Ava Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./ Strath Haven) was 124th in the field with a time of 23:08.
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished 134th with a time of 23:17.3.
•
Carys Cook (Wimberley, Texas/Lauralton Hall) placed 138th with a time of 23:19.
•
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) was 194th (23:52) while
Abbey Woodcome (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) was 236th (24:20.8).
•
Julia Brock (268th, 24:42.6) and
Emily Trout (304th, 25:06.5) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 387 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.
•
Kathryn Hopkins turned in Gettysburg's fastest 6K time on famed Lehigh Goodman Campus course. Her time was nearly 12 seconds faster than Amanda Adesso's 2016 time at Paul Short.
•
Gabrielle Thiry's posted the Bullets' third-ranked time on the course while
Ava Crawford's time ranks seventh.
Elyse Tancini (12th) and
Carys Cook (15th) also posted top-15 marks on the course for Gettysburg.
