THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had three of the first six runners to cross the line, finishing second at the annual Baltimore Metro Meet hosted by Goucher in season-opening action. The Bullets had 38 points and was the top-finishing non-Division I team, easily outdistancing the rest of the field.
THE LEADERS

Kathryn Hopkins (Taneytown, Md./Winters Mill) led the Bullets with an individual victory in the team's first time on Goucher's course. Her time of 19:03.73 bested the rest of the field by nearly 33 seconds.
FOR THE FOES
• Towson won the team title with 31 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) crossed the line third with a time of 19:39.4.

Ava Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) was sixth with a time of 20:00.0.

Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) finished 12th, posting a time of 20:10.7.
•
Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) placed 16th with a time of 20:37.9.
•
Julia Brock (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) debuted with a 17th-place finish (20:52.5) while
Abbey Woodcome (Hudson, Mass./Hudson) followed her across in 18th (20:52.7).

Emily Trout (20th, 20:57.9),
Kyla Lorden (21st, 20:59.3),
Franny Proto (28th, 21:41.3),
Grace Lisnock (29th, 21:48.3) and
Megan McArthur (35th, 22:21) rounded out the Bullet competitors.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 86 runners competed at the 5,000-meter distance.
• Towson and Gettysburg finished 88 points clear of the rest of the field and combined for nine of the top 12 individual finishers.
