THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg's top four runners crossed the line in the top 30 finishers to finish third at the Rochester Yellow Jacket Invitational. The Bullets tallied 83 points and were the second Division III team in the field.
THE LEADERS
•
Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) placed fourth overall with a time of 22:48.3 on the 6,000-meter course to lead the Bullets.
FOR THE FOES
• SUNY Geneseo won the team title with 32 points behind Penelope Greene's individual title in a time of 21:49.4.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Kathryn Hopkins (Taneytown, Md./Winters Mill) claimed seventh in 23:12.9.
•
Carys Cook's (Wimberly, Texas/Lauralton Hall) time of 23:55.7 was good for 19th place.
•
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was the 27th runner across the line in a time of 24:11.0.
•
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) rounded out the top 30 with her time of 24:14.7.
•
Ava Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) and
Emily Trout (Ocean View, Del./Sussex Academy) rounded out Gettysburg's top seven with times of 24:27.1 (41st) and 25:12.7 (73rd).
• Abbey Woodcombe (25:33.0, 95th),
Kyla Lorden (26:09.8, 127th) and
Sarah Smith (27:36.5, 161st) rounded out the field for the Bullets.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 220 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.
