LANCASTER, Pa. –
Evan Graham (Crofton, Md./The Key School), a sophomore on the Gettysburg men's swimming team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Swimmer of the Week, for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
Graham led the Bullets to a pair of lopsided victories over Franklin & Marshall and Scranton. Against the Diplomats on Friday, he led off the 200 medley relay to a time of 1:31.96, which is the No. 8 time in program history. Later in the night, he nearly reset a 13-year-old Bullets Pool record with a win in the 400 IM. His time of 3:58.33 is the fastest in Division III and is the only sub-4:00 mark in the early season for an NCAA B-Cut time. He also anchored the fastest 400 free relay time of the night (3:11.65). On Saturday, he notched a pair of Scranton pool records. He anchored the 400 medley relay to a time of 3:30.04 as well as grabbing an individual record in the 100 backstroke with his time of 51.07 seconds. Graham also won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:17.42.
Gettysburg returns to action at No. 6 Carnegie Mellon on Saturday. Meet time is 1 p.m.
