Karis fired a nine-inning, one-hit shutout in Gettysburg's 9-0 win at McDaniel on Friday. After allowing a walk and a double to start the game, he retired 27 of the next 28 batters he faced, with a fifth-inning hit batsman his only blemish. He tied a career-high with 12 strikeouts and fanned the side twice while earning his second collegiate shutout.
