Freshman Jessica Porter averaged 17.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game as the women's basketball team began 2013 with a trio of victories. Porter posted double-doubles in each game of the Days Inn Tournament (Jan. 2-3) on her way to being named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. She logged 12 points and 10 rebounds in the opening game against Alvernia University, while posting 20 points and 10 boards against Gwynedd-Mercy College in the title game. Porter finished the week by tying her season high with 20 points in a 58-40 victory over Washington College on Jan. 5.
