Cavanaugh, competeing in just her second collegiate meet, broke two school records at the University of Delaware's Thomson Invitational. In the 60-meter dash, she placed 17th among 63 Division I, III, and Junior College competitors, finishing with a time of 8.35 to nip the former school record of 8.36 set by Cheron Walker in 2005. Cavanaugh also eclipsed Walker’s 2002 record by 0.29 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles, placing sixth in a field of 45 with a time of 9.65.
