Senior Christine Esposito capped her collegiate careers in cross country and track and field on high notes. During the fall, she was Gettysburg's top finisher in all eight races she ran, including taking first at both the Delaware Invitational and the Frostburg State Invitational. Esposito captured All-Centennial Conference First Team laurels for the second time in her career with a seventh-place showing at the conference meet and she grabbed all-region accolades for the first time by finishing 14th. Esposito missed the indoor track and field season and the early weeks of the outdoor season with an injury, but she recovered just in time to close her collegiate career with a bang. After grabbing all-conference accolades with a runner-up showing in the 10K, Esposito put the final stamp on an outstanding career by shattering the school record in the 5K with 17:37.63 at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet. At graduation, Esposito was was given the Clair B., Mary E., and Constance (Noerr) Baker Memorial Award which is awarded to a female senior on the basis of proficiency in athletics, scholarship, and character.
