Gettysburg College Athletics

Senior Joe Sharp turned in successful campaigns in three sports this past year. In cross country, Sharp posted a personal and team best time of 27:18 at the Centennial Conference Championships. It was the first time in his career he was Gettysburg's top finisher in a cross country race. The successful end to the fall helped launch the senior's track season as he claimed a pair of silver medals in the 800 meters both indoors and outdoors. His time of 1:56.74 at the conference indoor meet put him third all-time in program history. Outdoors, Sharp was Gettysburg's top performer in the 800 and the mile. His runner-up time of 1:53.86 at the conference meet ranks fifth-best in program history.
