Gettysburg College Athletics

It was a banner season for the Bullets baseball team and Al Posch played a big role in the team's success. The junior right fielder hit .383 with 46 runs and 36 RBI. Posch broke three single-season school records, including hits (72), at bats (188), and doubles (24). His doubles mark topped the previous season standard by nine. Posch tallied 21 multi-hit games and ended the season on a 28-game hitting streak. He was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team by the ABCA, in addition to D3baseball.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team and All-Centennial Conference Second Team. Gettysburg set a school record by winning 30 games this spring.
