Gettysburg College Athletics

Katie McCoubrie capped her first season with the women's track and field team in dramatic fashion by winning the conference crown in the long jump. Entering the meet with a season-best distance of 16 feet, 10 1/2 inches, McCoubrie cleared her previous mark by nearly seven inches to earn Gettysburg's only individual crown. Her leap of 17-5 1/4 was more than inch better than the conference runner-up and it put McCoubrie in sixth place in school history. McCoubrie was tagged All-Centennial Conference First Team as a result of her performance.
