Shaffer scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in overtime as the Bullets rallied for a 2-1 victory at Muhlenberg in their Centennial Conference opener. In a game played through pouring rain, Shaffer was awarded the PK five and a half minutes into the extra session after a teammate was taken down from behind in the box. He blasted home his first goal of the season and the second game-winner of his career after Gettysburg tied it in the 85th minute.
