Cavanaugh won the 60-meter hurdles at the Columbia Last Chance Meet, held at the Armory in New York City. She beat out eight other Division III and unattached competitors, and her time of 8.96 missed her own school record that she set at the same meet one earier by just one-hundredth of a second. Cavanaugh just missed reaching the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships after qualifying in the hurdles last season.
