Matt Spano concluded his collegiate wrestling career as one of only four grapplers in progam history to reach 100 career wins. Spano reached the milestone en route to a fourth-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championship, marking the senior's third finish on the conference podium. He added two more wins at the regional tournament to push his season record to 22-12 and his career record to 102-58. Spano won at least 20 matches in each of his four seasons at Gettysburg, including 34 in 2011-12 - the most by any Bullet grappler at 133 pounds.
