Caroline Murphy '14 arguably saved her best for last on the basketball court. The senior forward averaged a career-best 15.3 points per game in her final campaign, while also leading the team in rebounding (7.8 rpg), assists (2.7 apg), and blocks per game (1.2 bpg). She reached double-figures in all but three contests, including a career-high 25 points against Swarthmore College on Nov. 23. Murphy was tabbed All-Centennial Conference First Team for the second consecutive season, becoming the first Bullet to earn first-team status in back-to-back seasons since Jennifer Bengel '06. She eclipsed 1,000 career points in her final home game and she finished 10th in program history with 1,054 points. She also ranks as the best free throw shooter at Gettysburg with a career mark of 85.9 percent. Murphy, who was named All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team, helped Gettysburg claim its first Centennial title in 2012-13.Â
