Young turned in a solid sophomore campaign and led the Bullets with an average of 78.0. In his final match of the season, he finished fifth among 35 competitors at the Centennial Conference Championship, shooting a 226 (75-76-75) over the 54-hole event to earn a spot on the All-Centennial Conference Team for the second year in a row. He also broke 80 in seven other rounds, including the McDaniel Mason-Dixon Classic, where he carded a collegiate-low 73.
