Cavanaugh registered a stellar indoor track and field season, capped by another appearance at the NCAA Division III Championship. A standout sprinter and hurdler, she won both the 60-meter dash and the 60-meter hurdles at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championship. She also ran on the 4x200-meter relay that captured the bronze and was named the meet's Most Outstanding Track Performer. She closed out the season by competing at her third NCAA Championship, where she placed 12th in the 60-meter hurdles. During the indoor season, Cavanaugh reset her own school records in both the 60-hurdles (8.88) and the 60-meter dash (8.01).
