Mandy Buell '15 turned in one of the best seasons by any student-athlete at Gettysburg this past spring. Buell was named the IWLCA Division III Attacker of the Year after pouring in 74 goals and 95 points for the women's lacrosse team. She was also named All-America First Team, All-Metro Region First Team, Centennial Conference Player of the Year, and All-CC First Team. Buell posted the fourth-highest goal total in school history and she converted over 61 percent of her shot attempts. She scored a career-high seven goals against then-No. 15 York (Pa.) and she tallied the game-winning goal in an overtime win against then-No. 11 College of New Jersey. Buell was also a star off the field, helping raise money to build a playground in Nicaragua and being named the winner of the IWLCA Division III Community Awareness Award. The mathematics major finished her career with 159 goals, 48 assists, and 208 points.
