Freshman Paul Triandafilou became the first Bullet to win a title at the Petrofes Invitational in 18 years when he brought home the heavyweight crown this weekend. Competing in just his second event of the season, Triandafilou posted a decision and third-period pin in his first two bouts. He won each of his final three contests in overtime, including a 13-minute marathon in the quarterfinals. In the championship match, Triandafilou scored a takedown in the second sudden-victory period for a 4-2 win over the top seed from Messiah.
