Cavanaugh beat out 12 other competitors to win the 55-meter hurdles while breaking her own school record to lead Gettysburg at the Dickinson Early Bird Invitational. In prelims she was timed at 8.38 seconds, clipping her record by a tenth of a second, before finishing in 8.58 in the final. Cavanaugh also placed second among 21 competitors in the 55-meter dash (7.51), and her prelims time of 7.48 moved her into second in school history in the event. In addition, she came in sixth among 16 competitors in the 200-meter dash (28.90).
