Hinds posted a record-breaking performance while defending his discus title at the Centennnial Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. With a throw of 170-3, he broke the former meet record of 160-0 set in 2005, and he won the event by nearly 20 feet. Hinds also scored in the shot put, placing sixth (43-7 1/4).
