Distler scored 36 seconds into sudden-death overtime, lifting the Bullets to a thrilling 7-6 victory at seventh-ranked York (Pa.) College in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III tournament. The golden goal capped an outstanding performance for Distler, who finished with two goals and two assists, one game after posting three goals and three assists in an 11-10 overtime victory over No. 15 Cabrini College in the second round. Distler's efforts helped the Bullets reach the Division III semifinals for the second year in a row and for the 10th time in program history.
