Gettysburg College Athletics

Emily Van Horn '16 completed her career as a defensive stalwart for the field hockey program. Van Horn started all 64 games she played in her collegiate career and she finished as Gettysburg's game, season, and career leader in defensive saves. She posted a defensive stop in 11 games this past fall, including a school-record three in a one-goal victory at Johns Hopkins in the regular season finale. Van Horn's 13 defensive saves this season tied for sixth in the nation. She wasted no time in setting the program's career record either, besting the previous mark by 12 with 28 defensive saves.
