Gettysburg College Athletics

Dougherty opened the season with a bang, earning four victories and a pair of pool records in Gettysburg's 160-102 victory at Washington College. He started the day by swimming the breaststroke leg of the winning 200-medley relay (1:37.28), then captured both the 50-freestyle (20.89), and 100-freestyle (46.74), breaking pool records in both events. Dougherty wrapped up the day by leading off for the 400-freestyle relay team that won in 3:14.09. He was honored as the Centennial Conference Co-Swimmer of the Week.
