GETTYSBURG, PA--- Jason Vishio scored two goals and 3 assists as Gettysburg defeat Swarthmore 9-0 in Centennial Conference action on Saturday. With the win the Bullets record improves to 11-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play.
Gettysburg opened up its scoring only 2 minutes into to game when Chris Pryor slipped a head ball in the back of the net off a cross by Vishio. Five minutes later Vishio would return for his first goal off an assist by J.W. Havens. The rest of the half turned into a shooting spree for the Gettysburg squad, which saw goals from Michael McLaughlin, Jesse Flynn and another from Pryor. McLaughlin's score was assisted by Wes Thurmond with Vishio assisting in Flynn's and Pryor's goals.
After a lull in the goal scoring early in the second half, the Bullets assaultedthe net again when Adam Outerbridge found the nylon off an assist by Joe Rice. Vishio returned for his second goal of the match, assisted by Pryor, while Clayton Krum and Liam McDevitt finished of the Bullet scoring. Krum and McDevitt assisted each other's goals.
The Bullets outshot the Garnet 26-3 on the day and held the edge in corners 5-2.
Gettysburg returns to action on Thursday, October 21 on the road against Catholic. Game time is to be announced.
