EWING, NJ --- The College of New Jersey women's soccer team, ranked No. 1 in Div. III, defeated the Bullets to the tune of 5-0 in non-conference action on Saturday. With the loss the Bullets fall to 4-6-1 overall.
TCNJ had five different goal scorers on the evening, with four of the five scoring in the first half. Beth Hoeflinger opened up the scoring for the Lions off an assist from Courtney Glaubach, and was followed by Christine Grande, Denise Buckley, and Dana Vetrone. Buckley's goal was assisted by Alison Baker.
The Lions returned in the second half to get their fifth and last goal of the match off an unassisted score by Jennifer Allaman. TCNJ out shot the Bullets 21-3, with Gettysburg goalkeeper Erin Hayden posting 11 saves on the day.
Gettysburg returns to action on Wednesday, October 6 at Dickinson College. Game time is 4 p.m.
