GETTYSBURG, PA. --- Amy Brewster scored 76 seconds into the match to lead Gettysburg past Haverford, 1-0, in Centennial Conference action on Wednesday. With the win the Bullets improved to 9-6-1 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
Only 1:16 had elapsed in the match when Brewster scored her team-best seventh goal of the season off the game's first shot, knocking in a cross from Emily McAuliffe. The teams combined for only seven shots the rest of the way. Maureen McBrien and Julie Girman also recorded shots for the Bullets on the afternoon.
Goalkeeper Erin Hayden made two saves to post the Bullets' seventh victory in their last eight games. Haverford (6-8-1, 3-4) held a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.
Gettysburg, currently ranked 10th in the Mid-Atlantic region, returns to action on Saturday, October at Swarthmore College. Game time is 1 p.m.
