GETTYSBURG, PA. --- Lauren Scott scored in the 26th minute to lead Gettysburg to a 1-0 win over Bryn Mawr (3-16, 0-9) in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Thursday. With the win, the Bullets improved to 11-6-1 overall and 9-0 in conference play.
The win also allowed Gettysburg to clinch a share of its fourth Centennial Conference championship and set a conference record with its 18th consecutive regular-season CC victory. The Bullets will host Western Maryland on Saturday with the winner earning an automatic berth in the NCAA tournament.
Scott's goal was her fourth of the season and her first game-winner. Emily McAuliffe recorded her fourth assist of the season on the play after making a great individual run at the right side of the penalty box and sending a cross to Scott, who was driving to the front of the net.
Gettysburg outshot Bryn Mawr, 22-0, on the afternoon, but couldn't put another shot past Mawrter goalie Melissa Rohall, who made 11 saves on the afternoon. Maura Tehrani led the Bullets with three shots.
Gettysburg has won nine of its last 10 games, including six out of the last seven by shutout. The Bullets, currently ranked ninth in the Mid-Atlantic region, wrap up their regular season on Saturday, October 30 at home against Western Maryland. Game time is 2 p.m.
