ST. DAVID'S, PA --- Jeremy Shapiro netted his second gamewinning goal of the season to lead Gettysburg past Eastern in non-conference action on Saturday.  With the win, the Bullets improved to 3-1.

     Shapiro's goal came in the 70th minute off an assist from Mike McLaughlin.  He also scored the winning goal in Gettysburg's 1-0 victory over Mary Washington on September 1.

     Jesse Flynn opened the scoring with a score in the 16th minute.  Eastern's Patrick Laurent, the top scorer in Division III last season, tied the game at 1-1 off an assist from Brian Dennstaedt early in the second half.

     Nick LaPorta made three saves to pick up his third win of the season.  Gettysburg outshot the Eagles, 23-8, on the afternoon.

     The Bullets, currently ranked fifth in the Mid-Atlantic region, return to action on Tuesday, September 14 at home against Messiah College.  Game time is 4 p.m.
