GETTYSBURG, PA --- Kristy Wade scored a pair of goals, including the gamewinner in the 87th minute, to lift Elizabethtown (5-3) over Gettysburg, 2-1, in non-conference action on Tuesday. With the loss, the Bullets fell to 2-5-1.
Gettysburg's Lauren Morrell scored off a goalmouth scramble in the 34th minute to give the Bullets a 1-0 lead. Wade answered with 41 seconds remaining in the first half off a pass from Dina Jingoli to even the score at 1-1.
With time running out in regulation, Wade knocked in a mishandled cross from Andrea Thompson to give the Blue Jays the win. Wade's two-goal performance moved her into first place on the program's all-time goal scoring list with 64 career goals.
Erin Hayden made five saves for the Bullets. Morrell, Amy Brewster and Abi Reaser recorded the only shots for Gettysburg on the afternoon.
The Bullets return to action on Saturday, September 25 at home against Washington College. Game time is noon.
