GETTYSBURG, PA --- Maureen O'Donnell scored a pair of goals as Gettysburg defeated Centennial Conference opponent Washington College 7-0 on Saturday. With the win the Bullets improved to 3-5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Gettysburg opened up the scoring with a goal from Amy Brewster and an assist from Lauren Frankford at 16:46. O'Donnell put her first goal in at 30:52 and was quickly followed up with a goal by Abi Reaser to round out the first-half scoring. Maura Tehrani assisted on Reaser's goal.
At 3:12 into the second half, the Bullets got their fourth goal of the contest with a score from Taryn Chomik off an assist from Brewster. Following Chomik in the barrage of shots was Maureen McBrien, who scored off an assist from Leslie Sloper. The last scores of the match came unassisted from O'Donnell, who put in her second goal at 70:12, and Patsy Cors, who found the net with nine minutes left to play.
Goalie Amy Campbell recorded a save on Washington's only shot to pick up the shutout win.
The Bullets return to action on Wednesday, September 29 on the road against Centennial Conference opponent Muhlenberg College. Game time is 4 p.m.
