Following a first half that saw the two teams combine for a mere 33 points, the Bullets jumped out to a 13-point lead before the Generals rallied to within 35-32 midway through the second half.

From there, however, Gettysburg went on a 16-4 run to take control.

Mike Monroe (Alexandria, VA/Bishop Ireton) converted a layup following a steal by Jim Natale (Washington Crossing, PA/Council Rock) to give the Bullets a 37-32 lead with 9:29 to play.  Following two free throws from Schreiber and one by Schnebly, Terence Callahan (Bay Shore, NY/St. Anthony's) scored off a Natale inbound pass to stretch the lead to 42-32.

Schreiber pushed the lead to 44-32 with a pair of free throws before W&L's Bob Bustamante broke the scoring drought with two charity tosses of his own at the 7:29 mark.

After the teams traded layups, Schreiber sank two more of his eight free throws on the night before Schnebly scored from in close and Natale converted one of two foul shots to give the Bullets a 51-36 edge with 4:34 remaining.

From there, Gettysburg made six free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.  After hitting only 8 of 28 shots in the first half, the Bullets shot 13-for-23 (56.5 percent) from the floor after the break and 20 of 27 (74.1 percent) from the free-throw line.
