GETTYSBURG, Pa. --- Kris Brust and Jill Ibex combined for 30 points and 26 rebounds to lead Western Maryland over Gettysburg 69-56 in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday.

     Brust (15 points, 15 rebounds) and Ibex (15 points, 11 rebounds) each posted a double-double on the afternoon while Patty Russo scored a team-high 16 points to help the Green Terror (11-10, 7-4 CC) eliminate the Bullets from the CC playoff race.  Western Maryland remained one game behind Franklin & Marshall (8-3 CC) for the CC West division's final playoff spot with two games to play.

     Carrie Kulp scored 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for Gettysburg (12-9, 6-6 CC) to record her third double-double and fifth 20-plus point game of the season.  Jamie Dawson added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Bullets while fellow senior Megan McDonald hauled in 11 boards.

     Gettysburg took its last lead of the game when Steph Drevna hit a jumper to make it 10-8 with 13:27 left in the first half.

     Western Maryland answered with an 11-2 run over the next four minutes and 10 seconds to take a 19-12 lead.  Jen Piccolomini scored four of her nine points during the stretch.

     The Bullets cut the lead to 25-22 with 3:34 left, but the Green Terror closed out the half on a 7-1 run to take a 32-23 lead into the locker room.

     Gettysburg pulled within six at 44-38 with 11:08 left in the game on a layup by Jay Hodge, but Western Maryland answered with a 6-0 run to take control of the contest and cruise to the win.

     Sindi Stem also scored in double figures for Western Maryland with 10 points.  Mandy Wilson pulled down six rebounds and added five steals for the Bullets, who wrapped up their 1999-2000 home season with a 9-4 record at Bream Gymnasium.

     Gettysburg returns to action on Tuesday, February 15 at Lebanon Valley College.  Game time is 7:30 p.m.
