YORK, Pa. --- Megan Wargo (New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) went 4-for-5 with five RBI, and Mandy Wilson went 4-for-5 to lead Gettysburg in to a pair of victories over York in non-conference softball action on Thursday.  The Bullets (9-0) won game one 12-2 and returned to blank the Spartans 9-0 in game two.

     Karyn Miller collected four hits and four RBI on the afternoon, while Jen White batted for three hits of her own.  Melissa Hazzard (2-0) picked up the complete game victory in game one, with two earned runs on six hits.  The runs where the first two earned runs of the year allowed by Gettysburg pitching staff.  The Bullets have allowed only two earned runs in 54 innings.

     Courtney Todd (4-0) picked up the win for game two, remaining perfect with the 0.00 ERA and collecting 8 stikeouts.

     The Bullets attacked early, as they scored four runs in the afternoon's opening inning.  The Spartans scored the first of their two runs in the bottom of the first, but would remain scoreless until their second run in the bottom of the fourth.  By then, the Gettysburg squad had picked up another five runs, and would finish out the game in the fifth with three more scores to eight-run rule York.

     Game two found the Bullets in charge of the plate again, scoring two in the first, one in the second, one in the third and five in the fourth.  York, taking the full brunt of Todd's pitching, never regained their feet and found themselves eight-run ruled for the second time on the day.

     The Bullets collected 24 hits on the way to their ninth straight win of the 2000 season.

     Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday, April 1 when they host a double header against Centennial Conference foe Muhlenberg.  Game one begins at 1 p.m.
